EFIS 81, December 2010 : Legal Aid
You must login to download the contents of this EFIS.
Following the Chancellor of the Exchequer’s announcement in the Emergency Budget in June of an increase in VAT from 17.5% to 20% on 4th January 2011, we have amended the fields which automatically calculate VAT on the forms listed.
Legal aid practitioners should therefore use the latest versions of these forms for applications made on or after 4th January 2011. More detailed guidance on this change can be obtained from the Legal Services Commission’s website at www.legalservices.gov.uk.
Criminal forms CRIM_7 and CRIM_8 are also available following changes to these forms which the Ministry of Justice made in accordance with the new Criminal Procedure Rules. These two forms can be used immediately.
Finally, on Efis 71/2010 in November, we advised you that we intended to publish the new form AF1. The Legal Services Commission has delayed the publication of AF1 so we will notify you of any further developments in 2011.
