EFIS 85, October 2013 : Conveyancing - LS Transaction

New form LPE1 for leasehold property enquiries has been based on a standardised questionnaire which the Law Society has drafted in consultation with other trade bodies.

LPE1 enables managing landlords and agents to anticipate what information conveyancers will need in a transaction. Because additional requests for information will only be required when an issue arises which necessitates further information, it is hoped that LPE1 will improve the efficiency and speed of this type of transaction.

TA13 has received a minor amendment.

Both forms can be used immediately.
