EFIS 80, August 2014 : Landlord & Tenant

On Efis No.73 last month, we supplied you with amendments to HA4A and HA4B.

The Stationery Office subsequently published the Housing (Right to Buy) (Maximum Percentage Discount) (England) Order 2014 which came into force on the day after the day on which it was made.

This 2014 Order was made on 20th July and so came into force on 21st July which is the same date as the Housing (Right to Buy) (Limit on Discount) (England) Order which amended HA4A and HA4B on EFIS No.73.

Paragraph 2 of the Housing (Right to Buy) (Maximum Percentage) (England) Order 2014 prescribes a maximum percentage discount of 70% which is calculated by reference to a qualifying period under Schedule 4 of the Housing Act 1985 which applies only to a house.

We have therefore made further amendments to HA4A in the light of this latest statutory instrument. HA4B remains unchanged from EFIS No.73 because it is an offer notice for a flat.

Please also find HUD1 which has received a minor field amendment.

Both forms can be used immediately.
