EFIS 61, August 2015 : Immigration - Applications

You must login to download the contents of this EFIS.

The Immigration (Biometric Registration) (Amendment No.2) Regulations 2015 were made on 24th March.

Regulations 1, 2 and 3 came into force ".... at the end of a period of 21 days beginning on the day on which these Regulations are made."

Regulation 4 came into force on 29th May and regulations 5 and 6 on 31st July.

Regulations 3 and 4 add countries whose applicants must apply for a biometric immigration document.

Regulations 5 and 6 require all applicants to apply for a biometric immigration document.

The UK Visas Section of the Home Office has amended the following Immigration forms for use on or after 3rd August: SET(DV), SET(F), SET(LR), SET(M) and SET(O).

Because Oyez is currently finalising July's amendments to the EEA(EFM), EEA(FM), EEA(PR) and EEA(QP) forms in accordance with the information provided to you on EFIS No.54/2015, we do not anticipate supplying you with the latest versions of SET(DV), SET(F), SET(LR), SET(M) and SET(O) until later this month.

The Immigration Rules usually enable existing forms to be used for a transitional period of 21 days.

However, we recommend that practitioners should check the Immigration website at: to satisfy themselves that the transitional provisions apply in this situation and also to read policy papers which the Government has published on visitor rules under Appendix V of the Immigration Rules and Part 8 of the Immigration Rules which concern family members.
